1. Is your course approved by the Florida DBPR Board of Cosmetology for continuing education?
Yes, we are an approved provider for cosmetology continuing education. Our provider license number is PVD290, our provider number is 0007378, and our approved course number is 0501007.
2. How do I renew my cosmetologist license?
If you hold a Cosmetologist, Nail Specialist, Facial Specialist, or Full Specialist license type, then you must take a 16-hour continuing education course as well as apply for your license to be renewed by DBPR before it has expired.
If you hold a Hair Braider, Hair Wrapper, or Body Wrapper license type, you will need to take a 2 hour class on HIV/AIDS as well as apply for your license to be renewed by DBPR. If you would like to take our approved 2-HR HIV/AIDS continuing education course, you can find it HERE.

3. Will you report that I have completed my continuing education to the Florida DBPR?
Yes, as approved providers, we will always report the completion of your continuing education hours to DPBR.
4. Do I need to retain a copy of my certificate of completion?
It is always best to retain a copy of your certficate of completion for your records at least until the next renewal cycle.
5. I am applying for my cosmetology license for the first time, is this the correct class for me?
No, our 16 HR Cosmetology course is only for current license holders looking to renew their license. If you are applying for your license for the first time as a Cosmetologist, Nail Specialist, Facial Specialist, or Full Specialist in Florida, you need to take a 4 HR Initial HIV/AIDS course.

6. I have a cosmetology license from another state and want to obtain a Florida cosmetology license. What do I need to do to obtain my Florida cosmetology license?
In order to obtain your Florida cosmetology license as a Cosmetologist, Nail Specialist, Facial Specialist, or Full Specialist you must take the 4 HR Initial HIV/AIDS course and submit an application along with a fee to the Florida Board of Cosmetology.
