1. Is your course approved by the Florida DBPR Board of Cosmetology for the cosmetology initial HIV/AIDS course?
Yes, we are an approved provider for the cosmetology initial course. Our provider license number is PVD290, our provider number is 0007378, and our approved course number is 0500995.
2. Will you provide me with a certificate of completion for this course?
Yes, as soon as you have completed our course, you will be able to view and email yourself a copy of your certificate of completion. You can then print this out to send in with your completed application for licensure.
3. How do I apply for my cosmetologist license?
In order to obtain your Florida cosmetology license as a Cosmetologist, Nail Specialist, Facial Specialist, or Full Specialist you must take the 4 HR Initial HIV/AIDS course and submit an application along with a fee to the Florida Board of Cosmetology.

If you are applying for a Hair Braider, Hair Wrapper, or Body Wrapper license, there are different requirements. Additionally, if you are a military personnel, a veteran, or a spouse of such member there are different requirements as well. These can all be found on the DBPR website HERE.
4. Do I need to retain a copy of my certificate of completion?
It is always best to retain a copy of your certficate of completion for your records at least until the renewal cycle.
5. I have a cosmetology license from another state and want to obtain a Florida cosmetology license. What do I need to do to obtain my Florida cosmetology license?
