Oregon Electrical CE Renewal

These courses are designed for electricians and technicians renewing their Oregon license. Oregon licenses expire every 3 years and must be renewed by the expiration date in order to remain active. In order to renew your license, you must complete the required continuing education.

1. Are you an approved continuing education provider?

2. How do I renew my electrical license?

In order to renew your electrical license, you must complete your continuing education hours within the 3 years prior to your license expiration. Continuing education classes can be taken any time during a renewal cycle.

3. What are the continuing education requirements?

During each three-year license cycle, either 24, 16, eight, four, or zero hours of continuing education, depending on specialty. You can check your license record to identify the number of credits and type of credits you need to complete HERE

4. Will you provide me with a certificate of completion?

Yes, as soon as you have completed the class, you will be able to email yourself the certificate of completion.

5. Do I need to show my certificate to Oregon.gov to prove that I completed my continuing education hours?

When you renew your license, you may be asked to show proof that you have completed your continuing education hours, so make sure to save a copy of your certificate of completion.

6. Will you report my completed hours to the board?

Yes, we will report the completion of your continuing education hours to The Electrical and Elevator Board as proof upon completion.

7. What if my license is expired?

If you don't renew your license by the expiration date, your license will fall into the "expired-renewable" status. You are not eligible to work under your license until all the renewal requirements are met, including continuing education.

8. When does my license expire?

Your license will expire on October 1st at the end of your three year cycle depending on the year you were licensed.
