Florida Cosmetology License Renewal
This 10-hour course is designed for Cosmetologist, Nail Specialist, Facial Specialist, and Full Specialist license type holders renewing their Florida Cosmetology license and meets all continuing education requirements. All Florida Cosmetology licenses expire every 2 years and must be renewed by October 31st every other year in order to remain active.
Renewing your License is Simple!Just begin by registering for our course and then complete it anywhere that is convenient for you. After completion we will report back to the DBPR that you have completed your CE hours. Then pay your renewal fee on the DBPR website and that's it! Your license is renewed!

2. How do I renew my cosmetologist license?
If you hold a Cosmetologist, Nail Specialist, Facial Specialist, or Full Specialist license type, then you must take 10 hours of continuing education and pay your renewal fee to the DBPR before your license has expired.
You can pay your renewal fee to the DBPR on the MyFloridaLicense website.
3. After I renew my license, will the DBPR mail me my renewed license?
The DBPR is no longer mailing out licenses. They will email your renewed license to you and you can also access it in your MyFloridaLicense online account.
4. Will you report that I have completed my continuing education to the Florida DBPR?
Yes, we will always report the completion of your CE hours to DPBR. This normally takes less than 24 hours, but can sometimes take up to 48 hours.
5. Do I need to retain a copy of my certificate of completion?
It is always best to retain a copy of your certficate of completion for your records at least until the next renewal cycle, but you will not be asked to submit it to the DBPR.
6. I am applying for my cosmetology license for the first time, is this the correct class for me?
No, our 10 HR Cosmetology course is only for current license holders looking to renew their license. If you are applying for your license for the first time as a Cosmetologist, Nail Specialist, Facial Specialist, or Full Specialist in Florida, you need to take a 4 HR Initial HIV/AIDS course, which we also offer.
7. My license is NULL and VOID and I am trying to reinstate it, is this the correct class for me?
In order to reinstate your license from NULL and VOID, you need to take a 4 HR Initial HIV/AIDS course, which we also offer.
8. I have a cosmetology license from another state and want to obtain a Florida cosmetology license. What do I need to do to obtain my Florida cosmetology license?
In order to obtain your Florida cosmetology license as a Cosmetologist, Nail Specialist, Facial Specialist, or Full Specialist you must take the 4 HR Initial HIV/AIDS course and submit an application along with a fee to the Florida Board of Cosmetology.
We do offer the required 4 HR Initial HIV/AIDS course.
